Narina Bailey’s Truly Precious Art has long been touching people’s hearts, while also healing her own along the way.
She began painting her whimsical, Pop-Surrealist style portraits of little girls to help deal with the pain and grief of losing a sister when she was young, and these memories of a childhood touched by sadness are reflected in the pretty characters she creates.
More recently, she began taking on commissioned portraits of people’s children and pets, often dealing with their own loss, and she loves nothing more than creating a beautiful, personalised keepsake that they can treasure forever.

Narina also has a special place in her heart for all animals, and many of her works depict the precious bond of unconditional love between a child and their pet.

Narina is self taught, paints in Acrylics, and has had numerous solo exhibitions in Auckland and Wellington since 2004.
Her work has regularly been selected for the NZ Art Show, and has also been exhibited at the Christchurch Art Show and Nelson Art Expo.
